I’m Agus, a director based in Barcelona.

I came to live action through animation and visual effects, and I still think like someone who builds images frame by frame. Today I direct commercials and films for international and local brands — IKEA, Smint, Fanta, Maxibon, Gulf Air, Nesquik — mixing real footage with whatever the idea needs in order to exist.

I see myself as an artist who makes films rather than someone who sells ads. I’m drawn to humour and to productions that look impossible on paper; that’s usually where the fun is. I adapt quickly to each project and its people, and I enjoy the moment when a whole team pushes the same picture forward.
